Switzerland: The Wealthiest Country in the World!

Credit Suisse Wealth Report 2019 shows that Switzerland remains the country with the highest wealth per adult in the world, followed by Hong Kong and the US. The mean wealth per adult in Switzerland is USD 564’650, which has increased 144% since 2000. It also has the biggest jump from 2018 in comparison to other countries. However, the average debt per adult is USD 142’620 which is also one of the highest.

The country has 810’000 millionaires, which is 12% more than in 2018. The 3.9-trillion total wealth of the country represents 1.1% of the global wealth. The nation also remarkably contributes 1.8% of the top 1% of the world’s wealthiest people.
